Here you have a hood for the 1978 -1983 Ford Fairmont and Mercury Zephyrs. This is a quality bolt on fiberglass hood. Aprox. weight of 20 lbs a savings of over half the weight of 42 lbs for the steel hood. allot of time was used to develop a hood to meet the Drag Racing market. Its cowl height is slightly taller than 4 inches and made wider to except any under hood modifications. The hoods styling matches the car lines a boxy square look. The cowl rises quickly to about 4 inches at the point where the air cleaner and carb would be. This comes as a non functional cowl but at no charge if you request we can cut the back open to make it functional. $25 extra to have screens installed

I just got my hood and absolutly love it. It fits real nice and goes with the body lines definatly a great purchase.

this is great and this is about time a quality professional hood is produce for this car there has been a tremendous amount of interest for a hood for these cars thanks in addition,i would like to see a sunoco style hood for these cars to give it a real race car look as well as some identity to the traditional boxy sleeper look i will ordering one in the near future thanks for the opportunity to have such a product
